Sasquatch Music Festival

If you blink you may miss it – SASQUATCH. But this isn’t your everyday garden-variety, stalking through the forest type of Sasquatch either. Each year for the last decade, the Sasquatch Music Festival takes place at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Washington, over Memorial Day weekend.

A nine-time winner of Pollstar Magazine’s award for “Best Outdoor Music Venue,” the Gorge Amphitheatre is a beautiful location to enjoy four music-filled days.

Artist Highlights –

Jack White, Beck, Bon Iver, Pretty Lights, Tenacious D, The Shins, Beirut, Girl Talk, The Roots, Portlandia, Feist, Silversun Pickups, Metric, Nero, Childish Gambino, Santigold, M. Ward, Of Monsters and Men

With a lineup like this, you’d be a fool to miss out on this. Skip Vegas, boating or your usual Memorial Day plans and do yourself a favor – grab tickets to Sasquatch and thank me later.

General admission 4-day passes are $315 and available now on Ticketmaster. Tickets include camping passes.

I Love This City

You’ve probably never heard of this festival. In fact, everyone you know is probably unfamiliar with it. But wait – don’t judge just yet. This brand new EDM festival is taking place over the course of three days, in two cities, almost simultaneously.

“I Love This City” is coming to San Francisco and San Diego at the end of May. The San Francisco event is open to everyone 18 and older and takes place in the lot at AT&T Park. Picture one huge tailgate – but instead of celebrating a ball game, you’ll be engulfed in heavy beats and neon colors. The festival’s debut in SF occurs on May 25 & 26, and takes place in San Diego the same weekend on May 26 & 27 at Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres.

Artist Hightlights

San Francisco – Duck Sauce, Tiesto, Steve Aoki, Chucki, Laidback Luke, Kill the Noise, James Murphy

San Diego – Skrillex, A-Trak, The Crystal Method, Dirtyloud, The Twelves, 12th Planet, Savoy, Adventure Club

More artists will be announced as the festival gets closer. Tickets are still available. General admission passes are $150, while VIP passes are $350. Included with the VIP pass is: separate entrance, private viewing areas, private bar and private bathroom access.

Electric Forest Festival

Coming in at number 17 on our Festival Bucket List is the Electric Forest Festival in Rothbury, Michigan. The four-day festival takes place at the Double JJ Resort which has some of the best festival accommodations I’ve come across.

Not only does this DJ + jam band festival take place in the Sherwood Forest (it’s literally an electric forest), there’s an indoor water park, a beautiful lake, a 5-star golf course and a glow-in-the-dark disc golf course that’s open until 5am.
