Fake Kid Rock Tickets?
Today’s news comes from Detroit, where the surprise of all surprises happened. People bought fake tickets on Craigslist. This past weekend was the Kid Rock birthday bash at Ford Field. Christina DeCarolis is quoted:
“We knew maybe the Craigslist wasn’t the safest bet. But they were the cheapest ones we could find.”
Repeat after me, If a deal is too good to be true. IT IS!!
It is getting harder and harder to find legitimate tickets on Craigslist. If sellers are not willing to show ID, allow you to meet at their residence, or accept credit cards as a legitimate business, be extremely wary. With the face value of tickets being so high these days, it is a lot easier to scam tickets on Craigslist for large amounts. It’s also a lot easier to counterfeit a Ticketmaster ticket than it is to counterfeit a $100 bill.
Perhaps it is time to pressure law enforcement to take out the ticket counterfeiters, rather than the ordinary street hustler who is just trying to make a buck?
We will be focusing more on fake tickets in the near future, along with giving you tips on how to avoid buying counterfeit concert and sports tickets.
