Dunk Of The Year: LeBron James vs. Blake Griffin
If you were watching Monday night’s Los Angeles Clippers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder game, there was no way you missed Blake Griffin’s epic dunk over Kendrick Perkins., which is being noted as the dunk of the year – and we’re only 31 days in to 2012.
If you missed it, here’s the video.
LeBron James even chimed in on Twitter stating, “Dunk of the Year!! @blakegriffin just dunked on Kendrick Perkins so hard!! Wow!! I guess I’m #2 now. Move over #6.”
But LeBron, don’t be modest. Your dunk over Chicago Bulls’ John Lucas on Jan. 29 was almost gravity-defying.
As always, you can find Clippers tickets, Oklahoma City Thunder tickets and Chicago Bulls tickets on Zigabid.
The Nets Say “Goodbye, Jersey!” and “Hello, Brooklyn!”
Before today, the biggest story about the New Jersey Nets all year was Kris Humprhies taking Kim Kardashian off the market, but today minority owner Jay-Z finally proclaimed that the Nets are indeed going to Brooklyn for the 2012-2013 NBA season.
The move had been talked abut for awhile now, but today marked the official announcement and many questioned if the team would keep the “Nets” name. Along with the announcement of the Brooklyn Nets name, Jay-Z announced he would be performing next September at the opening of the Barclays Center (the Nets’ future Brooklyn home).
This marks not only a big day for the Nets, but also for the borough of Brooklyn who’ve been without a sports team since Walter O’Malley took the Dodgers to Los Angeles.
With a fresh start in a new home for the Brooklyn Nets, they’ve got momentum behind them. Only time will tell if it will translate onto the hardwood.
